California RV Rentals and the John Muir National Historic Site

California

Historically owned by the Muir Family, the John Muir National Historic Site is one of the states largest estate preservations, providing RV rental travelers with the opportunity to learn about one of the world’s most revered natural activists. Born in Dunbar, Scotland, John Muir emigrated to the U.S. with his parents early in life, embarking on what would later become one of the most successful environmental preservation programs in history. An environmentalist, geologist and botanist, John Muir would play a vital part in the creation of numerous California National Parks. A nature lover from birth, John Muir’s work laid the foundation for the creation of the American National Parks Service in the early 1900’s, sparking what would quickly become one of the world’s most prestigious environmental organizations. More than your average estate, the John Muir National Historic Site is a national treasure, providing RV rental travelers with tons of informative displays and historical exhibits. Easily accessible by both car and RV rental, the John Muir National Historic Site is located just off of Highway 4, on Alhambra Avenue.
